Long-term client Tara’s outstanding progress

Check out that progress! I’ve had the pleasure of working with Tara Green on three separate occasions since 2011.

As you can see from the results, Tara is cruuuuuuushing it. As the pictures show, Tara was already in decent shape. But that is also what makes this that much more impressive in that it is more difficult to lose body fat the leaner you are. (See my Fat Loss and the Law of DiminishingReturns article)

If you want to succeed, you can, but it takes real commitment.

You’re either committed or you’re not. There’s no such thing as “sorta committed”. And remember, you commit to yourself, NOT your program. Big difference!

There are countless possible *excuses* one can come up with for not following through on a commitment you make to yourself, but rarely is there a really good *reason*.

Tara, incidentally, is an international pilot so there’s obvious preparation that has to go into her success. We worked together to come up with a schedule that worked for her current flight schedules. In this case we have three consecutive days off every week, because her program then becomes much more realistic in terms of the application into her current lifestyle.

Three days of weights, one sprint workout and because she likes it, the option of one longer run.

The rest? All nutritional compliance. Diet drives the fat loss!

Any successful program MUST meet two requirements:

1. It has to do what it’s designed to do. This just means it has to work (of course, assuming sufficient program compliance).

But just as importantly,

2. It has to be functional, meaning in this case, the program has to be something that the end user can successfully apply and execute in their life; and this is where individuality in programming comes in.

If not, the program just remains good on paper and in theory.

And this is why it’s always important to view each client as an individual when programming decisions are made.
