Looking for something a little different, but tasty for breakfast? Then try quinoa porridge. Here’s what you need to make it:

1/4 cup of quinoa (uncooked)
1.5 cups of almond milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
1 serving of fruit (about a 115g of raspberries in this case)

To make it, bring 1 cup of the almond milk to a boil. Once the almond milk comes to a boil add the quinoa, cover the pot and simmer. You’ll have to occasionally stir the contents of the pot till the quinoa is cooked. Once cooked, remove from heat and stir in the rest of the almond milk along with the vanilla and pumpkin spice. Enter contents into a bowl and then add fruit.

When all is said and done, you have a meal that provides around 300 k/cal with about 8 grams of protein, 50 grams of carbs and 7 grams of fat. Best of all – it tastes awesome!

Note: I also added Trutein to my meal to increase my protein intake.

Enjoy!
