I’ve been competing for a while now. I had always designed my own programs, which made me fairly hesitant about hiring a trainer. I figured I knew what I was doing, so why hire someone to tell me what to do?
But the prospect of hitting the national stages again really started to wear on me. I started to wonder if my methods were really the best way to go about things. I realized that maybe it would be beneficial to look for some outside help after all.
After seeing the results that Erik’s clients were getting, and reading about how happy they were with his programs, I knew that it would be stupid not to hire him myself.
Just his initial paperwork impressed me. It was very thorough, ensuring that he could construct a program that would suit my schedule and incorporating the things that I prefer to eat into my diet.
I’ve got to admit, awaiting that first program made me a little anxious; wondering what he was going to have me do. But once I got it, I was amazed. There were things in my diet program that I didn’t expect. And that was a good thing! There was a variety of foods in my plan that I didn’t ever allow myself in previous contest preps. And my workouts were much shorter than I’d been doing in the past. I wasn’t going to have to spend ALL of my spare time in the gym.
Everything was laid out so well for me. All I had to do was follow it. Which was very easy to do. No more getting tired of eating nothing but chicken day in and day out. No more spending countless hours doing cardio. And the best part, no more worrying about whether what I was doing was right or not.
Under Erik’s guidance, I saw changes in my physique so much faster than I ever had before. Going into that show, I can honestly say that it was the best I’d ever looked in a contest. Hiring Erik was by far the best decision I’ve made when it comes to my competitions.
