Work on recognizing the feelings or situations that may trigger poor eating habits

I sometimes find that clients come on board looking for their poor or unhealthy dietary habits to be effortlessly “fixed”, hoping that just by joining our program things will automatically improve. Unfortunately, it’s usually never that easy.

Many unhealthy dietary habits can often stem from some type of underlying feeling or condition, such as anxiety, unhappiness, stress, depression, etc.

Sometimes the issue, whether it be disordered eating, emotional eating, poor dietary choices, etc., just takes some further digging. By taking the time to really identify those behaviors and discover what you feel might be triggering them, whether it be emotional triggers, situational triggers, or something different, pinpointing and acknowledging those triggers is a big step towards overcoming the issue.

As coaches, we are here to guide and support you along the way, and lead you down the path to success. We will do our best to keep you going on that path to success, but ultimately it is up to you to take the necessary steps toward improvement.
