Q&A from another place – talk about the antithesis to the Lean Bodies Consulting philosophy, which of course is rooted in sanity!

Q: I am having problems getting in my second cardio session. Low energy and just find myself dreading it! Any suggestions??

Every moment of “dread” is all so worth it and I promise you, you will look back and be forever changed for not giving up and just getting it done.

Sir LBC:

Double cardio means you’re taking your fitness to another level? More hardcore? More committed? Above and beyond? Really?

Yeah, forever changed for the worse as so many people who have fallen prey to the ‘the more cardio I do the better’ approach can attest to. Talk to all the people for whom all this cardio no longer produces results; to those for whom X amount of cardio does nothing now and they have to do more and more and more to get anything out of it. Red flag? Alarm bells? Something negative has happened in your body when something that used to work … doesn’t anymore.

When does it stop? It’s not about doing as much as you can tolerate; it’s about doing as little as you need to to still get results.

Metabolic efficiency is not your friend, it’s your fat-loss enemy, trust me. For more on this concept, READ HERE.
