Haha, I am the “mean” Coach.

Long term LBC client Geri and not just her physical progress as she nears 50 years young in the best shape of her life, but what matters to the Coaches at LBC the most, her mental fitness progress.

Yesterday I posted the Geri’s outstanding progress from the back.

You can see that post and her commentary here:

Geri hit me up with an email today:

“Erik,

You made my YEAR!!! The best early birthday present ever! I swear I could hug you!

I am so in the zone it’s no joke. I swear to God I’m in the zone. There is more to come. You will SEE. I am on a mission. There are about 57 more days til my 50th. Just you wait and see.

Nothing before it’s time. And the time has arrived.

Finally!

You have changed my life, my entire life, Erik. Physical Life. Family Life. Working Life.

Let me tell you something. About 10 yrs ago, I went to a plastic surgeon. To get a tummy tuck. I was about 145lbs. I sat in the waiting room for my $100 consultation. I saw all of these women waiting – for botox, tummy tucks, lipo and everything in between. I went into the room with the surgeon. She asked me: Why are you here? All of my staff are laughing at you wondering what you could possibly want done. I said I can’t get rid of my belly fat. I want a tummy tuck or lipo. She put me on the table, touched my stomach, grabbed my belly fat. And said to me: There’s nothing I can do for you. Get a mean personal trainer. I was like “what????” She charged me the $100 fee and kicked me out. I was livid. Pissed for days. How dare she?

Well, she did me the best favor ever. Albeit it took me a few more years to figure it out – a few more failed diets, programs.

Then I found you. The “mean” Coach.

And I would have had it no other way. You were my first ever coaching experience. And you will be my last. You are “mean” in the most amazing way. No enabling, no coddling. No handholding. Just truth. All the time. Hardcore. You forced me to look inside myself. To dig deep. You are amazing. You know how many times I wanted to tell you to eff off and just kick you to the curb? So many times, but why? Cuz I blamed you for my failures instead of looking at myself as the culprit. Because you have created something amazing. I just needed to take it. And I finally have. All of it. And I thank you for the Diet Prison Break. And I aint goin back!

Geri
