Hi Coach Ileen! It’s been almost a year now since I ended my membership with Lean Bodies Consulting but I have continued to utilize both my diet and training plan to keep up with the results I achieved while I was a client. I am happy to say I have maintained my weight and measurements for a year now while gaining more muscle in my upper body and leaning out my abs and legs.
Of course I’m not perfect all the time, but I have learned it’s all about balance. If I want to have a treat at work, I allow myself to, and then I adjust my next meal accordingly. I just make sure I stick to my daily allotment of calories. Like Coach Mark said, at the end of the day it’s about how many calories you take in, not when you take them in.
I have discovered the more I stick to my diet, the better results I get! Unfortunately diet is the most important aspect when seeing results! I substitute protein and carbs when I get a little bored but I use the Lean Bodies Consulting app to make sure my portions are correct. It may be boring at times, but it works and the results are worth it. I am in the best shape of my life and my abs look better now than they ever have! And that’s after 2 children!
I am using the same weight training plan you gave me but I have added 2 days of cardio. Not because I need it, but because I like it. It’s good for my mental well-being and I love a good sweat. I still have friends who feel they have to do cardio 5-6 days a week and I’m so happy I no longer feel that way. I used to be a gym rat and spent 1.5 -2 hours at the gym every day. No more! My workout takes 1 hour at the most and I don’t ever dread going to the gym.
I have learned so much from Lean Bodies Consulting. The biggest lesson being balance. I don’t beat myself up now if I have a cheat meal. I get right back on track the next meal. No more “I will start Monday!”
I no longer spend hours doing cardio. I stick to my training plan and my diet. The results come when you are committed to your plan!
