Keep your focus on the program and the process

When clients fill out their biweeklies there is a section they are asked to complete prior to weighing and measuring without any ‘numerical’ influences. Recently one of my clients submitted her biweekly and in one of the comment sections she noted ” I don’t feel any different but hopefully the scale shows something” and in another section she had written that she was disappointed that the scale hadnt changed and neither did her measurements…….

Seems like things aren’t working right?

Upon our further exchanges back and forth, she had stated that she her back is feeling better and no longer in pain. The rolls around her neck are gone. She can breathe easier when training. She can move about easier and others have noticed that she has lost a lot of weight. Recall she noted no changes.

You might not always be able to note these changes on a scale or tape measure but if you are experiencing some of the changes as noted above, it’s clear things are happening! When you are bigger and heavy, the changes are often not easy to “see”. We often use the analogy of a “Paper Towel Roll” – meaning over time you’ll see the roll reduce in size but initially there doesn’t seem like much change until you’ve used many sheets.

Keep your focus on the program and the process. In time you will start to notice and see those changes.
