First Time Competitor Bodybuilding Testimonial

I posted Spencer's Before and After pictures a few posts ago. The after picture was taken one day out of his first ever bodybuilding show. Spencer wound up taking 2nd in the Open class and 3rd in the Masters Class. I think he's hooked.

Thanksgiving Week Randomness

Time for another random one today ...

1. I first saw this dynamic warm up exercise on a blog post by Tony Gentilcore and it's probably my favourite upper body warm up movement. It's called the Side Lying Windmill and here's a few points Tony makes about this movement. I do it as below but with my knee resting on a foam roller.

Fat Loss And The Law of Diminishing Returns

One thing I find myself having to explain often to clients is that fat loss slows as you go. Those big numerical changes you experienced in the beginning when you're body fat was much higher? It's completely unrealistic to expect that to continue. At the same time when body fat is higher those big numerical changes don't transfer into visual improvements (Paper Towel Analogy anyone?) yet when you're leaner and the numerical changes are less, fat loss is slower, etc., you wind up seeing more of it.
