2010 IFBB NEW YORK PRO FITNESS - Congrats Allison Ethier

This past weekend was the 2010 IFBB New York Pro Fitness competition and served as Allison's third pro show.

A big congratulations is in order as she cracked the top 5, narrowly missing out on a 4th-place finish by two points. Allison scored 6th in the physique round (I would think had she not had TOM issues maybe a spot higher), only one point behind Sylvia Tremblay in 5th spot ... BUT she finished 2nd in the routine round only behind the show's eventual winner and routine superstar Tanji Johnson.

Impressive!

Next up will be the Europa Show of Champions in Orlando, FL

And Then There Were Four. Our Son Is Here!

Yep, he's here. I am a dad all over again ... and it just feels weird. Ok, onto my little recap.

So given the fact that we had Alyssa 16 months ago by C-section (due to her being foot-down breech), this pregnancy was scheduled to be a C-section as well. So while Laura had the option to choose, she still went with the Caesarian.

Here is a picture of Alyssa after I told her she is going to have to share MY pizza with her little... read more 29 comments

People finger-point at trainers and gurus, but I say, why not rest the blame on the ultimate decision-maker: the individual who is competing.   I had an epiphany of sorts a while back. Have you ever been in a fabulous, swanky, chi-chi nightclub when it closes down, and they turn the lights on to kick you out? And what looked glamorous and filled with beautiful people is suddenly grungy, dirty, and full of drunks?  That's sort of how I... read more 19 comments

Pride

I just couldn't pass up posting this great post by Pauline Nordin. It fits so much in line with some of my writings on the site. It's a bit wordy, but this is a good tough love read. Get to it.

Is she talking to you?

As adults we are supposed to be held accountable for our actions. Whatever we do we know there is a consequence of the action. There are no “it just happened”, no “I couldn’t help it”, “I did not know what I was supposed to do” when it comes to you and your commitment to yourself.

Lack of consistency is what keeps you from reaching... read more 11 comments
